Who we are
Amsterdam Flames is a cricket brand focused on Amsterdam and Europe.
This website and the Fire Starter membership programme are operated by AMSTERDAM FLAMES HOLDCO PTE. LTD., a private company limited by shares incorporated in Singapore with Unique Entity Number 202612065M.
Our registered address is ROBINSON ROAD, ROBINSON 77, #13-00, Singapore 68896.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to amsterdamflames.com and related sign-up flows.
For questions about this policy or any data-related issue, contact privacy@amsterdamflames.com.
Data you give us
When you register on this site, we ask for your full name, an optional preferred name, and your email address. You can also choose whether you want to receive occasional email updates from the club.
We use this information to manage your membership, contact you about your interest in the club, and where you opt in, send you club updates, launch news, and related communications.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may also use your sign-up details to create or inform relevant advertising audiences so that we can promote Amsterdam Flames to people who have expressed interest in membership or similar offerings.
Data we collect automatically
Site analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site in aggregate — pages visited, sessions, and general location and device breakdowns. This data is not tied to your name or contact details. GA4 only collects data if you have given cookie consent.
Form submissions. When you submit a form on our site, we also collect your approximate location (country, region, city, and timezone, derived from your IP address) and device information (device type and operating system, read from your browser). These fields are stored in HubSpot alongside your form submission and linked to your name and email address. We use this information to keep the site secure, detect bots and fraudulent or duplicate registrations, and understand where our fans and members are located.
We also automatically collect device, browser, and approximate location data through cookies and similar technologies — including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel — when you visit our site, but only if you have given cookie consent. If you submit a form, we collect this information regardless of your cookie consent choice, as described above.
We do not sell this information.
Third-party tools we use
- Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate website analytics.
- Meta Pixel (with Advanced Matching) — measuring ad performance and building advertising audiences, including matching visitors to Meta accounts via hashed email or phone number.
- CookieYes — managing your cookie consent choices.
- HubSpot — storing and managing registration and form data.
- ipinfo.io — deriving approximate location from IP address at the point of form submission.
GA4 and Meta Pixel do not load and do not collect any data about you until you give consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
Cookies and similar technology
We use a limited number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, protect against abuse, understand site usage, and support our communications and marketing efforts. Where required by law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner on our site.
Where we store your data
Your data may be stored or accessed in the European Union, Singapore, the United States, and other jurisdictions in which our service providers operate, including Google (GA4), Meta (Meta Pixel), HubSpot, and CookieYes. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it. Access is restricted to the small number of staff, contractors and service providers who need it to operate the site, communications, analytics and related marketing activities.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration details while the Fire Starter programme remains active, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Location and device information collected at the point of form submission is retained in HubSpot for as long as your registration record is retained. Analytics data collected through GA4 is retained for 14 months. We may retain limited records as needed to maintain suppression lists, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the site and our business.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data for money. However, we use Meta Pixel with Advanced Matching enabled, which uses hashed versions of information you provide us — such as your email address or phone number — to match your visit to a Meta account so that we can measure and improve our advertising and build advertising audiences. This involves sharing information about you with Meta for advertising purposes and may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information under some laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act). Where this applies to you, you have the right to opt out — see “Your rights” below.
We may share your data with service providers who help us operate the site and sign-up process, communicate with fans, analyse audience interest, and support our marketing activities, including the tools listed in “Third-party tools we use” above. We may also disclose data where required by law.
We do not share your personal data with sponsors for their own independent marketing unless we tell you otherwise and, where required, obtain your consent.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or object to certain uses, including direct marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us at privacy@amsterdamflames.com. You can also control non-essential cookies, including GA4 and Meta Pixel, at any time through the cookie preference banner on our site.
We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and, where the change is material, email anyone who has opted in to updates.
